DESIGNER/ CLIENT COLLABORATION

A high school friend approached me with an exciting challenge—rebranding a carnicería. After years of hard work in landscaping, he and his team saved enough to purchase a thriving butcher shop that also operates as a restaurant and convenience store. The business came fully stocked, complete with employees, and they proudly named it after their home state in Mexico: Guadalajara.

DIGITAL MENUS

Five new flat-screen TVs were installed in the restaurant to display digital menus. I was initially pressured into subscribing my client to a paid Roku app for menu display. Every designer I consulted insisted it was the only option—but that didn’t sit right with me. So, I dug deeper, did my own research, and discovered a simple, free solution that continues to save my client money.
