Creativity Without Borders
I was born in California, raised by parents whose courage reclaimed a land stolen from our ancestors. Labeled ‘illegal’ until my siblings and I took our first breaths, we grew up familiar with poverty—it slowed my steps but never stopped me. I earned my degree alongside peers who never questioned their place. Now im proud i can say the following:
With over a decade of experience in the Arizona art scene, I’ve transformed challenges into creativity and emerged as Erick M Designs. Beginning in 2009 at The Art Institute of Phoenix, I was led to incredible opportunities, including collaborations with Barrett-Jackson—The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions—and launching ventures like Trap Culture AZ, a cannabis promotional brand celebrated for its festivals and cultural events. Beyond these milestones, I’ve designed branding for local favorites like Carniceria Guadalajara, crafting everything from logos and uniforms to digital menus and signage.
In 2024, I made the life-changing move to Oahu, Hawaii, where I’ve spent my first year drawing inspiration from the island’s natural beauty and vibrant culture. During this time, I’ve expanded my expertise by completing UI/UX courses at Honolulu Community College, with plans to continue advancing my skills later this year. 2025, Erick M Designs is officially based out of Oahu, with the launch of my new website to serve clients locally and beyond.
